There’s not much time left until the Steam Auutumn Sale ends, Here’s our top picks of sweet deals before it ends!
The Steam Autumn Sale is nearly over, and it’ll be close to a month before their Winter Sale kicks off. With Black Friday and Cyber Weekend deals taking precedence these last few days, it may have been easy to overlook Steam’s Autumn Sale.
But if PC gaming is your thing, you definitely want to check Steam before the Autumn Sale ends on November 29 at 10 AM PST. There are a lot of sweet deals still going on and stellar games to help make the upcoming Winter vacation season more enjoyable.
What isn’t too enjoyable is sifting through all of the sales on Steam. Steam’s got something of a shovelware problem, and you must make your way through a crowd of Gazeems before you find an Aladdin.
But not to worry; I’m handier with a shovel than Thomas Walsh and did all the legwork for you. I’ve scoped out about ten deals you may want to consider (Okay, it’s technically more than ten since I lump games from the same franchise into one spot, but what can I say? It’s hard to narrow down hundreds to 30). I’ve focused on deals that give you the most bang for your buck. So while God of War, Persona 5, and Marvel’s Spider-Man are on sale, it’s not by much. We’re looking to stretch dollars more than Mister Fantastic’s morning exercises here.
Left 4 Dead 1 & Left 4 Dead 2
Left 4 Dead is an all-time great of the zombie-killing genre of video games. Back 4 Blood tried to recapture the magic of the Left 4 Dead games, but it didn’t quite meet the mark. Luckily for all of us, the classics are still around and dirt cheap.
Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 are currently $0.99 each on Steam, or you can purchase the Left 4 Dead bundle for $1.48. You can’t beat prices like that.
Yakuza/Like A Dragon Series
The Yakuza series filled the void left behind by the Shenmue franchise (And made that void a lot more violent). I know PC ports like God of War, Uncharted, and Marvel’s Spider-Man are all the rage when it comes to PC ports, but the ports for the Yakuza series are my favorites.
The entire Yakuza/Like A Dragon franchise is on sale right now. The Yakuza Bundle contains Yakuza 0, Kiwami, and Kiwami 2 and is $16.12. The Yakuza Remastered Collection has remastered versions of Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 and is $19.92.
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is $6.99, and Yakuza: Like A Dragon is $20.99.
Red Dead Redemption 2
The game that has my vote for the best Rockstar game ever, Red Dead Redemption 2, is on sale for over 67% off.
You can purchase the Standard Edition for $19.79 or the Ultimate Edition for $29.99.
Like The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a title deserving of all the hype and praise it gets.
STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order
The Star Wars franchise has been shaky since Disney took over the reins, and Star Wars video games, in particular, have been vastly inferior to the glory days of the early-mid 2000s.
Bringing back hope that Star Wars games can be great, STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order is the best thing to happen to Star Wars in years. And it’s currently on sale for just $5.99. Alternatively, you can purchase the Deluxe Edition for $7.49.
I’d say it isn’t incredibly high on replay value, but it’s definitely a game you’ll want to experience.
DOOM Eternal
Doom needs little in the way of introduction. The music is loud, the guns are beefy, and the blood is constantly gushing. If bashing, shooting, or blowing up stuff is your jam, then DOOM Eternal is your frontman.
DOOM Eternal is easily one of the best modern-day FPS titles and a must-play for those looking for pure fun and carnage. You can purchase the Standard Edition for $9.99 or the Deluxe Edition for $17.49.
Devil May Cry Collection
If you’re a gamer on the younger side, there’s a strong chance you missed out on Devil May Cry in its glory days. Or maybe you made the mistake of using Devil May Cry 2 as your introduction to the series and decided to give it a pass after that.
Not including the 2013 reboot title, the Devil May Cry series had been dormant for quite some time. The Devil May Cry, but his games not being made sure made me cry. Then 2019 and Devil May Cry 5 happened.
And let me say this: Devil May Cry has never been better.
I strongly advise playing through the entire series. That way, you fully understand the story and get invested in the characters. And luckily for us, every game in the series is on sale.
The Devil May Cry HD Collection contains Devil May Cry 1-3 and is currently $9.89. Oddly enough, the original Devil May Cry 4 from 2009 isn’t on sale, but the Special Edition from 2015 is. You can pick it up for $7.49.
Last but not least is Devil May Cry 5. Devil May Cry 5 + Vergil is $9.89, and the Deluxe Edition + Vergil is $19.99.
Sekiro Shadows Die Twice: GOTY Edition
Sekiro is the game that’s so hard that it had game reviewers asking FromSoftware to “please nerf.” Thankfully, they didn’t.
Sekiro was an instant smash hit with gamers. Visually gorgeous with an air of setting authenticity, Sekiro is a supremely satisfying game that makes you feel proud of yourself when you finally defeat a boss that had you stumped. You may want to keep a few spare controls handy, though. You know, in case you end up throwing up against the wall.
Sekiro Shadows Die Twice: GOTY Edition is on sale for $29.99.
Pillars of Eternity & Deadfire
The isometric RPG sub-genre is making a comeback, and Pillars of Eternity is one of the resurging genre’s best recent outings.
I say recent, though Pillars of Eternity will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary in 2 years. Nevertheless, this is a must-play for any RPG fan. Obsidian Entertainment has been pretty consistent over the years, and Pillars of Eternity is a game I can wholeheartedly recommend, along with the sequel Deadfire. These should keep you happy until Baldur’s Gate 3 next year.
The Pillars of Eternity Collection is on sale for $22.48.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection
Everyone’s favorite looter shooter is offering quite the deal this Autumn Sale. How does 94% off sound to you?
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection contains Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. It also contains an excessive amount of bonus content; ALL bonus content for Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel.
I’m talking about over $200 worth of content for just $13.65. Sales don’t get much better than this.
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt
It’s never too late to admit Witcher 3 supremacy. In fact, there’s never been a better time.
As much as I love The Witcher series, I would lie and say that the first Witcher title isn’t a bit of a janky mess; because it is.
But that no longer matters, what with CD Projekt Red remastering the first Witcher. If The Witcher gets a makeover anywhere close to the quality of Yakuza Kiwami, then we’re all in for one heck of a good time.
So! Stop putting off owning The Witcher 3. You can scoop up the GOTY Edition for a mere $9.99.
Steam’s Autumn Sale is coming to a close, and everyone’s favorite online gaming distribution service will likely be pretty quiet until Christmas. We’ll keep the hot cocoa and chestnuts steamy for you and see you then.
