The Utah Jazz have made it known to the NBA world that they’re prepared for a complete teardown and reset. The first step came when they traded away three-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for a massive collection of assets.
From the Wolves, the Jazz landed five players. The return featured veterans Patrick Beverly and Malik Beasley, young prospects, Leandro Bolmero and rookie center Walker Kessler, and the crown jewel of the deal for Utah, Jarred Vanderbilt.
Kessler and Vanderbilt are both young and talented enough to feature as part of the Jazz’s next era, but the other three players won’t likely be a part of their new team for very long.
At first, Utah President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge suggested that he would be using the haul that the Jazz got for Rudy Gobert to help retool the roster around 25-year-old superstar shooting guard Donovan Mitchell. It was recently reported, however, that he’d at least entertain trade talks for Spida.

If Mitchell is traded, that would mark the beginning of a complete rebuild for the Jazz. In that case, Utah will have several other veterans that they could ship off in return for additional future assets. One that’s sure to command a decent market is Bojan Bogdanovic.
