The New York Knicks were able to acquire young wing Cam Reddish last NBA season for pennies on the dollar, moving Kevin Knox and their 2022 first-round pick from the Hornets to acquire the former Duke Blue Devil and blue-chip prospect.
Unfortunately, the change of scenery wasn’t able to expedite Reddish’s development, as he garnered few opportunities under Knickscoach Tom Thibodeau.
If Thibs isn’t willing to give him the playing time he needs to assimilate and grow, the Knicks’ brass may as well flip him to either recuperate some of the draft capital they gave up in order to clear cap space for Jalen Brunson or some veteran pieces that will get minutes for them.
It’s a little unknown which direction the Knicks are leaning as both their signing of Brunson and the Donovan Mitchell trade they’re pursuing could be considered either a win-now move or a step towards building for the future.

Reddish should still command enough intrigue from other teams to help push New York in whichever direction they prefer, however.
