Everything you need to know about JMX ahead of  the MF DAZN Fight Night.

This Saturday, October 15th, in the Utilita Arena in Sheffield, England. 14 of the biggest names in influencer boxing take to the ring and face off against each other, some for the first time. Some massive names are in attendance, with Jay Swingler v Cherdleys being the main event, while JMX, Astrid Wett, Slim and Ryan Taylor all feature on the undercard.

What are your initial thoughts and feelings heading into fight week?

JMX: “I’m feeling very confident; I’m ready. I don’t want to just win, I want to win in good style and show everyone what I can do. I fought my last couple fights without a very good shoulder, but I’ve got both hands now as that’s all fixed. Having full utility of both your arms is always useful in boxing!”

It’s been a while since you were last in the ring; what’s been going on in that period for you?

JMX: “I’ve just been focusing on business. Founded XCad Network, which is doing really well and just focusing on other businesses too. Trying to grow as a person and develop my skills going from YouTube to running a business and that slightly more corporate, startup space. There’s a lot of stuff to learn so I’ve been focusing on that.”

How has the camp been so far? What has your training schedule been like?

JMX: “I’ve changed opponents so many times so it’s been hard, I haven’t been able to focus on a specific opponent. But mainly, I fight both stances, so I can fight out of both now which is bringing me a lot of versatility. And mainly just smoothing everything over and getting sharp, using my left hand properly now as I couldn’t before the injury.”

Who is JMX?

JMX is an entrepreneur and former YouTuber. His YouTube Channel sits at over 2.4 million subscribers. At the same time, the 24-year-old has also founded XCademy, a startup that focuses on helping YouTubers to grow, and teaches them the tricks of the trade when it comes to gaining views, and keeping fans engaged.

This won’t be JMX’s first time in the ring, as he fought on the KSI v Joe Weller, and KSI v Logan Paul cards in 2018. A victory by TKO against Mike Fox, and by decision over Coach Richard sees JMX 2-0 in amateur fights. At 6 foot 2 inches, JMX is one of the tallest fighters on the card, and has an impressive reach, but also quickness for a fighter of his size. JMX has had one professional fight so far in his career, taking down Wojciech Gola in the Fame MMA card back in December 2019. However, this will be his first opportunity to showcase his skills as a pro boxer.
