Twitch will allow its users to pin messages in the chat and also pin their favorite channels at the top of the sidebar in the interface, according to the newest reveal.
Journalist Zach Bussey on Twitter gave users a sneak peek at the new features coming to the streaming giant’s desktop interface. To counter the overwhelming amount of messages in the chat, in order for viewers to be able to view a single relevant message in the chat. Twitch will finally allow streamers and moderators of their channel to pin any message sent by the viewers or them to the top of the chat. The message can be pinned for a set amount of time. Users can view how the feature will appear in the Twitch interface in the tweet sent by Zach Bussey.

Also, in another tweet by the scooper, who mainly tweets about Twitch news. The streaming giant will enable viewers to pin up to three favorite channels at the top of the followed channels sidebar located at the left of the desktop interface. This feature allows viewers to easily access their favorite channels quickly and eliminate scrolling through a long list of channels to view the Twitch streamer of their choice.

On the other hand, Twitch’s CEO and co-founder gave users a firsthand look at the new features during TwitchCon’s Opening Ceremony. “Our work on this front is never over as we look for ways to improve the user experience,” said Co-founder Emmett Shear during the TwitchCon Amsterdam’s opening stream. The feature, however, is still in testing, but according to Emmett Shear, the streaming giant is looking to roll out this feature for all viewers very soon.
