The latest instalment of the rivalry between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc took place Austria on the weekend, as the Ferrari driver overtook the Dutch racer three times on track to seal his third win of the season.
Verstappen started the race from first, while Leclerc was in second, and while the Red Bull driver made a good start, he struggled with heavy tyre degradation on his first stint. However, Verstappen was stubborn in defence, holding off Leclerc for a few laps before the Monegasque eventually made his way past, as he came from a long way back to dive down the inside at Turn 4.
After the first overtake, the race became a strategic battle between the two drivers and their respective teams, with Leclerc overtaking Verstappen a further two times without much resistance from the championship leader.
