The World Series of Warzone 2022 has crowned a new champion. Here’s our recap of the event.

Fans of Call of Duty: Warzone absolutely love competition. Warzone tournaments have been run regularly since its release in 2020, however, have slowed down recently since the change to Caldera from Verdansk. The World Series of Warzone is the biggest Warzone tournament there is, hosted by Call of Duty themselves, with $300K on the line.

Today, we saw the European side of the World Series of Warzone kick-off two days of competition. With 40 of the best trios in Europe competing, there could only be one winner.

Savyultras, BBlade & Waartex WinWorld Series of Warzone 2022 EU

The winners of the 2022 EU World Series of Warzone were Savyultras, BBlade and Waartex. All three of these players have been big names in the European warzone scene since the beginning, with Savyultras especially competing in almost every tournament. Some of you may remember Waartex from professional Call of Duty before his move to streaming and Warzone too.

The trio started off the tournament well, just scraping their way into the top 15 with 10 kills in map one. However, it was game two that sent them to the top of the leaderboard and cemented their chance at a victory. They clutched up to win game two with 20 kills, earning them 40 points, almost half of their 81.5 winning total. The remaining games were very average for the team, but good enough to top the leaderboard at the end of the five games, winning with 81.5 points.

AyzenLR, iheedz and Gromalok came second with 81 points, missing out by just 0.5 points. While some bigger names such as Jukeyz placed 4th, with WarsZ only managing 11th.

The World Series of Warzone continues tomorrow, September 7th with the North American competition.
